I'm alive. We just hibernating away this December. Trying not to get buried in well over a foot of snow that has sprinkled down on us since Thanksgiving and the 14 inches we are currently getting. Preschool is closed today, pajamas are still on, fire in the fireplace, Christmas Tree decorated and A Christmas Story is on the boob tube for the 345th time this week. Oh, and I've totally read this book and this book and this book in the last 2 weeks. One more to go and my ADD can focus on something else. I've also been doing a weekly post over here.
I'm in love with hibernating and that's not helping my HASAY status or my DC Urban Dad's Big Hairy Holiday Fitness Challenge scores. It's totally time for a "get your ass off the couch" intervention. Seriously. Yes, I have been on plan with Weight Watcher's. Yes, I have been water cardio-ing my way through Monday nights. Yes, I have been hitting the treadmill. Yes, I have been barely doing enough to sneak by so no one notices that my motivation is wavering. Not that I am giving up by any means but I am lacking that extra little oomph that I had a month or two ago.
So come on and give it to me. Kick my ass right onto that treadmill. I have a triathlon in 9.5 months!!!
...and in the end

I think we all just lose our motivation this time of year, when we're running around and doing so much, and it's just so damn cold all the time. You've done so well, I'm sure you'll jump right on that treadmil and catch fire again!
I find that it's nearly impossible to muster motivation if you're in your PJs. Get out of those comfy bottoms and try to sweat a little. So far the only thing that's working to get me exercising is making it part of my dinner routine, trust me when I say I hate every minute of it. DO IT, DO IT, DO IT. Just because you can. That triathlon is not going to run itself. Good luck this week.
Get out of those pajamas and get on that treadmill now!!!!!
Enjoy the rest of your snow day!
Bears have it right. Go away for 4 months and just sleep. Ah, if only I could do that in Virgin Islands.
That's SO rad you're going to do a triathlon. And that you've read so many books! How many kids to you have? I guess I could scroll down and find out... It takes me FOREVER to finish just one book with a baby in tow. Good job this week for doing something though!
I'm with you on this one. I got on the elliptical today because it is too cold to run outside, and put it on a pretty intense level even though I didn't want to. I blame DC Urban Dad for the flaming pain in my thighs right now. Wait, that didn't sound right.
Anyway, enjoy the snow and then get back at it!
I was gonna say get your butt in gear and then that I saw poor mopey Ernie in the sidebar looking like he needs some attention. So, GET OFF YOUR ARSE AND TAKE ERNIE FOR A JOG! He needs you, do it!
Didn't I warn you about Twilight? I read all four books in less than two weeks! I couldn't even cook dinner without a book in my hands! And don't forget the "fifth" one on StephenieMeyer.com. I wrote a whole post about it. It was SOOO GOOD!
Oh yeah, we were supposed to inspire you to get moving. Um, get up! Get moving!! hehe.
first, best of luck to you!
second, will it still be snowing in 9.5 months in wisconsin? because, in case you haven't heard, tris involve swimming. like, in water.
